Who we are
ClipLive is operated by Creative Broadcast Agency FZE-LLC, Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Questions about this policy or your data: support@cliplive.com.
What we collect
Without an account: an anonymous session ID stored in your browser, and the clips you make in that session.
With an account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, Discord or Twitch. The clips you make, the stream links and files you bring in, your stream key, your graphics, logos and caption settings, and the titles and captions you write.
When you pay: your plan and your Stripe customer reference. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
When you invite friends: who joined with your link, so we can credit you.
Share my screen. Your screen stays on your computer. When you clip, only the last minute or so is sent to ClipLive, and only the clip is kept.
How we use it
To run the service: record and cut your clips, store them, show them in your library, send them where you ask, and enforce your plan.
To keep it working and safe: we keep server request logs, including IP addresses, for up to 90 days.
To improve it: we use Google Analytics to count visits and Microsoft Clarity to see how the tool is used, including recordings of clicks and scrolling with sensitive text masked. Both set cookies; you can block them and ClipLive still works.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your clips to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (accounts and sign-in), Cloudflare R2 (clip, logo and file storage), Hetzner (our servers), Stripe (payments), Resend (account emails), Groq (speech-to-text when you turn on captions or AI features: only the clip audio is sent, and it is not kept for training), Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (site measurement). Each handles your data only to provide its service to us.
Connected accounts
You can connect other platforms so ClipLive can post for you. We only post when you choose a clip and press Post or schedule it, with the title and caption you set. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and used for nothing else. Disconnecting in ClipLive deletes the stored tokens and revokes our access with the platform; you can also revoke it on the platform itself.
YouTube. ClipLive uses YouTube API Services to upload clips you choose to your channel (scope: upload). By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Revoke access any time at Google security settings. ClipLive's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
TikTok. With your permission we read your basic profile (name and avatar) and the posting options TikTok allows for your account, and publish the clips you choose (scopes: user.info.basic, video.publish). Revoke access in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security, Manage app permissions.
Instagram. For a professional (Business or Creator) Instagram account we read your basic profile and publish the clips you choose as Reels (scopes: instagram_business_basic, instagram_business_content_publish). Revoke access in Instagram under Settings, Apps and websites.
Twitch. If you sign in with or connect Twitch we read your verified email and channel, and can create Twitch clips on your channel when you ask (scope: clips:edit). Chat !clip only reads your chat. Revoke at Twitch connections.
Discord. If you add a Discord channel webhook we store that webhook address and post only the clips you send to it. Remove it in Settings, or delete the webhook in Discord.
We keep the public metrics of posts we published for you (such as view counts) so we can show you how your clips did.
How long we keep it
Clip files: deleted 14 days after they are made, unless your account is on a paid plan (Starter or Pro), in which case they are kept while you are on it, and for 14 days after a paid plan ends. This applies to clips made without an account, on the free plan and during the open beta. Clips that existed before 11 October 2026 are kept until 25 October 2026.
Account data: while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account we delete it, your clips and your connected-account tokens within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
Share my screen uploads: the seconds sent when you clip are deleted after processing, within 24 hours. Only the clip is kept, as above.
Server request logs: up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted, by emailing support@cliplive.com. To delete your data, follow the steps on our data deletion page.
ClipLive is not for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email about any change that matters.
